Well.. if you want to see the country you should travel.

If you like beaches, go to Kerala.. Trivandrum.. Varkala.. go to Gokarna, Goa.. go to the Andamans.

Chennai has a few beaches but it's nothing special. If you want to sight see, go to Rishikesh. Go visit Udaipur/Jaipur if you want to see the country. Our side of it's worse than a crapper!
