Aus are complete sh1te in the t20 format, be shocked if they win it in Asia. Looked woeful against spin recently against India. Winner comes from India or the Windies imo. Only other side with a chance maybe Pakistan.

I agree with only the brave. When you have the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli on the same side on home soil, it will make for a practically unbeatable team. They might as well give them the trophy now and tell everyone else to not bother turning up.

Had a few smallish bets so far: India (4.8) and Sri Lanka (average 13.45).
Happy with the first who are the stand out team to me especially with home advantage. Not so pleased with SL just yet but hoping that new batsmen can find a bit of form in upcoming games. Tomorrow's India v SL game might shed some light. |

reckon the team with the best bowling side will win it. in terms of Batting there is not much to seperate the top teams . The difference will be who bowls best. Hard to say but it rules England out as their bowling is relatively weak the loss of Finn has weakened them even further,
Given the conditions you will probably want the team that has the best spin attack? |

Pakistan stick out to me as Back to lay, India although a little short considering the amount games they need to play to win the trophy, I wouldnt lay them purely because the money will keep coming for them. England and SA are personal lays. The good, the bad and the ugly with those two.

SA definitely are strong considering their T20 form and limited formats record in India. Its just the tag that is affecting their price. My bets are Aus or Ind to top group 2 at 1.36 Backing Bangladesh in their group A matches. and putting some outright money on SA and Ind. Will be avoiding individual games hopefully as I almost always trade wrong in T20s. |

South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, New Zealand have no chance of winning it imo. India 75%, Australia 20% and Pakistan 5%. Basically it's India's tournament to lose.

The beauty of T20 is one player can win a game with am inspired performance. India will need to win 3 knockout games to pick up the Trophy. I am not saying they won't do it but this is a little Bun Fight at the OK Coral for me.
Aus would be a good shout but they don't have extreme pace which is the only thing that can really derail India. In fact none of the bowling attacks will likely trouble them but particularly Aus have the batsmen ( Plural ) SA, WI,NZ and even England have dangerous batsmen. Anyone can have a good day or lucky day and if there is any jew factor or toss critical pitches there is no formality about the winner But India wins it of course  |

@WhisperingDeath They only have to win 2 knockout games. Provided SA and Ind top their respective groups, Ind will play England,Srilanka or WI in the semi. And none of these teams look like beating India.

I haven't even looked at the format! I think they must have sorted out venues by now or have they? I think India will only be vunerable to a swinging ball and the loss of 3-4 early wickets. Yuvraj is clearly not the player he was but I suppose he adds balance with his left arm filth if it is needed. He has been pre-ordained to be the Cancer Recovery Hero for this Tournament and in that respect I wish him well but India might be better served with an in form hard hitting batsman in his place. |

Yes the venues have been decided. Considering India do get to the semis, at what rate would they be trading from 3.4 now? Around 2.6ish? Any experienced traders' opinion will be appreciated.

I am guess at India v Aus for the final. Not sure SA batting is as good as either India or Aus but AB on the day? Quite exciting. I think I am just going to go with gut before each game. Lay SL. Back India, Aus and SA. England sporadically. Set firm limit for max bet each match to incude a Hail Mary contingency just for fun and the belief that not all is well in prfessional cricket ! That is unfair but I expect WI or Pakistan to be able to come back from the dead at least once or snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. |

India's price in the semi will depend on how threatening the opposition looks in the semi and final. Probably a bit higher than 2.6, but if they are unbeaten with easy group wins, including Australia, could be shorter.
As a general rule India in India are too short, but I think only SAF has a realistic chance of beating them in this comp. |

At the semi final stage, if the top 4 get through I would price as follows: This is based on Eng v India & SA v Aus
India - 2.40 SA - 4.25 Aus - 5.00 Engl - 6.50 I can't see past India to be honest. If they are playing SA/Eng at the Feroz Kotla they will probably prepare a dust bowl. Guess who wins that contest? Then the same in the final and the same result. Look at the Test tracks they have been preparing in recent times against Aus/SA. Absolute snake pits. Ravi Shastri has orchestrated this after being sick of losing 3/4-0 in Aus/Eng/SA on seaming decks. They have shied away from the boring flat tracks with sponsors in mind, to bunsens, with the M.O. to make India a fortress again. They have two perfect spinners for home conditions & now they have some swing/seam that has settled into a good groove. Nehra is swinging it, Bhumra is unorthodox & Pandya is bowling some good aggressive stuff as the 5th bowler. If any of them are take apart then there is a bit of filth from Yuvraj & Raina. SA, Eng & SA cannot beat India on turning tracks. Not sure they can beat them on any tracks tbf. India even outgunned Aus in Aus a few months ago in T20s. With the other subcontinental sides appearing weaker than usual in the spin & batting depts there is no real opposition to India on slow turners in home conditions. |

Barring an absolute disaster, India are one win (semi final) away from being 1.6/1.7 in the final.
I expect their price to drop rapidly in the next week or so. Also there is a chance that Pakistan may pull out due to safety concerns. |
