OK I know it is pretty early, but I have started putting England at 6/5 in accumulators already. West Indies ranked 8th and last of major cricketing nations and England 3rd. Fancy us, I know we will be playing over there but the windies are in big trouble. The sport there is dominated by politics. Might be proved wrong, but I sincerely hope not. Aussies for the Ashes again too I think, but I don't think my heart would allow me to do that :)

back to the anderson wickets, in all truth if you were looking a batsman reaching total number of test runs milestone, we'd probably be looking at it combined with his average and number of centuries.

if we look at anderson's average and his 5 wicket hauls, it's not that great.

it's a still great achievement, but the seemingly endless hype seems to be presenting it as something much bigger than it actually is.

well said jucel, you can't beat 450 overs and 5 days of Test Cricket, although this pitch/strip, hasn't particularly helped anyone.

he'll get dropped when ali comes back whatever he does here.

the right decision would have been to go with rashid, particularly given how tightly root has bowled.

rashid could well have been the difference on the final day.

Moheen Ali, should be back for the next game and he is more likely to take wickets and of course, would lenghten, Englands batting abit more. Not saying, we would have won that Test with him, but is more likely to take wickets as our main spinner in this game.

Think I cashed out after day 2. Had layed England and backed draw. England did go odds against about 3 times which would have given me a green but i didn't take it. Eventually cashed out for no loss.  England should have won the game after WI first innings capitulation. Was too scared to trust the Windies to see this through. In the end I think I made the right decision but leaves a slightly unpleasant taste in the mouth.

Enjoyed watching Holder get his hundred in the pub last night, was really great. Just as the game finished my mate walked past me closely escorted by two Bouncer's.  I had to leave my pint at the bar ( that's not a first! ) just in case they were going to dole out summary justice. Apparently he had decked somebody in the toilet ( twaite! ). For any youngsters reading this a " Bouncer " in days of yore was a local thug who like beating people up and get paid for it and not arrested and obviously could not get into the Police Force. They didn't wear suits and bow ties. Summary Justice is when they threw you down the stairs and then gave you a kicking at the bottom of the steps and told you not to come back.
