NZ have the better bowling attack imo.

You'd hope so Jucel. Ludicrous prices though on an unbeaten team who have previously turned over Aus as well. Aus should be around 8/11 imo.
> I'm on NZ for the tourney at 6.2. The lower the better for me! If Aus get through I'm going to take a profit. I was hoping Ind could squeak through and bring home the bacon for me!

as for the final, it depends on the conditions. NZ have a better bowling attack when the conditions are suited to a bit of a movement in the air, and Australia's aggression can add to their effectiveness. Australia's bowlers are better if its not doing much, their batting is better too.Cloudy and humid Melbourne and NZ are even money. Warm and dry, Aus 1.4.1.55 looks a big gamble given the vagaries of Melbourne's weather.
Rain Friday, cleared Sat, full sun 46% humidity 26 degrees Sunday.

NZ definitely a good opponent. Just can't see them winning more than about 1 in 3. Biggest stage any of them have played on, and this is old hat for Aus. Win every second world cup, so just another game. Will be very happy for them if they win it though. Very exciting team on their day, and they play the game the right way. Nothing better than an aggressive team that takes the game on and sees what happens.
so basically they play the exact oppisite way to England.

Can't believe they are thinking of leaving out the associates in the next WC. I think the associate games have been brilliant, not to mention profitable.
England will be an associate soon if they don't bring KP back

Fair point about the aus experience and I do tend to agree. However the way this NZ side has played (led by McCullum) has been with no fear - very important mindset against a side as intimidating as Aus. If he leads from the front and can set the tone, NZ have every chance. Although with the bigger ground his approach could well work against him. 2 best sides made the final though so let's hope they can finish the tournament with a good game.Agree with DStyle, been a pretty boring world cup. These monster scores due to the rule changes etc do nothing for the game by way of entertainment.
Absolutely.
2 teams that play similar games, and has the potential to be epic. The SA/NZ game was brilliant, and hopefully we get something similar in the final. Assuming of course Aus win this. Otherwise, NZ will slaughter India in the final.

They should just have had a best of 5 or best of 7 between Aus and NZ alternating the venues home and away and called it the world cup. Would have saved everyone a lot of time and effort.
yes, but I think, its been a great World Cup, plenty of exciting games and played on pitches, which have helped good scores, but bowlers have been rewarded, when bowling well

Yeh, but the cricket, has been exciting and entertaining, if you didn't enjoy the New Zealand, who were not favourites, you shouldn't be watching the game.
they were second or third favourites....
