have scotland ever beaten england at cricket (in a real tournament) ?

Well England are bound, to have a bad part, somewhere in the match and if its at the start, then Scotlands price. will lower and he should be able to green out. However, should they lose to Scotland, it will be time to pack up Cricket and come home, straight away. If we play Hales, we will have a good chance of getting 300+, if he doesn't we may struggle, to reach much more than 280. If Scotaland bat first, they should score between 180-240 and even England will chase that down, against a county bowling attack. My feeling for Hales, he is the right man to play, against lesser oppsoition, so he should play against Scotland, Afghanastan and Bangladesh, to make sure we qualify. I will keep an open mind, on whether he can do it against, a World Class bowler, but there again none of the others, seem to, so chuck him in and lets see if we can score more than our average 40 runs in the first 10 overs.

I don't believe so Plat - hence the odds out to 9/1 now and England 1.11 to lay.

well if you back Scotland at 9 say for tenner you stand to win £80 If England do have a wobble and Scotland say go to 4, lay Scotland at 4 to win £20, you will then have a guaruanteed profit of at least £10, I use the exchange, but you just have to use your brain a bit to work it out, or use some software, which I do and it will work it out for you

irrespective of the pitch, conditions etc, if England win the toss, then they should bat first...
the majority of the England batsmen need time out in the middle to get some good scores and hopefully some confidence for the rest of the group games... I mean, after all, if Englands batsmen cant handle Scotlands limited bowling ability, then they really shouldn't be playing at international level... I see no point in England bowling first, quite simply for the reasons ive stated above... I think England will win, but hopefully with a touch of meaningful authority... |

After the mauling the last 2 games versus Australia and New Zealand, I feel England need to get off to a good start or they will be under pressure. I have a funny feeling it won't be a walk in the park.
