I am on the Sunshine Coast, about 80km north, and we are under water.

And that link just shows it hits Rocky about 700 km north of Brisbane and then fizzles out along the coast. 

Anything can happen between now and then, but if they are getting anything like we are just north, then they won't be able to play cricket there for weeks.

I backed Aus over 4.5 group wins. This match if it is abandoned has left my bet as really poor value now. They have to win all the remaining games and hope none of them are abandoned aswell. Play the match at a different venue.

once that big band of rain clears (2 hours or so), the forecast/radar is ok. Local knowledge on the state of the outfield would be worth a golden pig!

AFAIK the weather was going south along the coast.  As I said earlier, we are under water, and the rain has gotten worse, and more under water this morning.  If they were getting that, they wouldn't be playing for weeks.

Whether the ground is the best in the world, they may not even be able to get to the ground.  Brisbane known for its flooding.  Don't use this information to back anything, just an opinion, from somebody making assumptions.

I've bailed on this for a modest all green. I doubt there will be a match, but CMM high risk. And I prefer to book my profits and move on.

Laid no for 20k between 1.12 and 1.16, gunna let it ride, can't justify backing back at 1.40. Rain should have stopped by game time. That gives them about 5 hours to clean up the ground. Gabba usually drains well

the heaviest rain likely to end in about an hour .. state of the outfield seems the biggest question mark from here, leaning toward it being more likely than currently seems that we get a game... in the hands of groundstaff

They look likely to miss the hours of drizzle that followed for us up a little north, so comes down to the outfield for mine.

how anyone can be betting on completed game now @ 1.25 is beyond me. They have physically got to be on the field in 3hrs30 & then complete 40 overs unabated.
