Thoughts on this game guys? Surely Pakistan's best chance of putting an end to their awful record against the arch enemy at World Cups.
Pakistan without some key players, but batting doesn't look too bad. India's bowling has been shocking for ages now. Who will the pitch suit more and is a back of Pakistan the best starting position? Who do you think wins? Any other bets/predictions? cheers

Well India lost to England, while Pakistan beat England, abeit a meaningless warm up game, so I would of thought the odds were slightly wrong and if you look at my World Cup odds, on the World cup thread, I have India in at 11/1 and Pakistan at 14/1, so I would of thought the odds would be India 1.9 Pakistan 2.1 in my book, so Pakistan are definatly value in my eyes.

BJT, thanks, but I have resisted getting Fox. Their pricing and bundling are outrageous. I'd happily pay to watch the matches I am interested in, but Don't make me pay for carp I don't want.
30 years ago in Canada, the cable company made me buy a French language folk music channel in order to get CNBC. Bundling is a broken business model, but they are still addicted to it. |

I tend to agree, but when it comes to money you can make by having it versus not having it, it more than pays for itself. Of course, if I wasn't using it to make money, I would certainly bypass it also.

Was reading a thing the other day, and they were saying it is about 8 bucks a month for cable in the US? We are a long way behind when it comes to internet and tv. Fcukers have the monopoly, and we are certainly paying hard for it.

Odds still too short. My scattered lays all been taken now. Might throw a couple in a bit lower. 1.46 average, they should be well above that now, but can't see why they won't at some point at least be over 1.80

it's often a case with markets involving india that they can get insanely irrational. i think you have to go through a period of their being vanilla irrational and sit on your hands.
india could well be 1.12 if pakistan lose an opener in the first over, i think that's probably the time to get on. |

Hovering around red, level, slight profit, red, laying India stupidly short, bang bang bang, 715+. Nothing to write home about but will take it for now. Can easily see huge opportunities in the second innings. I know Pakistan need to turn up, but they have momentum, decent batters, siht bowlers, and a nice pitch to chase a sub par score for mine.
Pakistan inconsistent the only reason I wouldn't have them favourites here. |

All about the wickets. India give away more runs than most in the last overs of the match. 4.5-5 an over for the next 20 and they are well in the box seat.
