Same as last match.
If Pak bat 1st, back to lay the draw. If Nz bat 1st, lay the draw. I could argue Pak is due for a batting collapse. |
By:
Back in Dubai, some questions for Pakistan I guess with both openers doubtful. 1 draw from 7 matches in Dubai.. Will back draw to lay, toss clearly key..

Well played Latham

More posts here than there were people in the stadium. Well done all

Nobody watches or bets on Pakistan matches for obvious reasons.

I certainly do..

I always do.

I never do.

Good day for the Kiwis.

In a good position with my book here. But have laid some NZ at 2.66. Pakistan have lost 2 wickets, but its the 2 new openers. Ali, Khan and Mishbah have been doing the damage, and wouldn't be shocked to see that continue here.
By:
pakistan are far too short at 4.4,draw looks massive at 1.53
By:
Time to lay the draw @ 1.40, seems to short to me, Pakistan still 200 behind... One more wicket and we could see a collapse with a decent lead for the Kiwis...

How many runs do people think Pakistan will score I'm tempted to back under 365. People's thoughts???

Just checked the '1st Innings Lead' market. What's the go with the money matched on the tie at low odds? lol
By:
Just back from Indonesia where I hoped to bet in play on this, but BF now blocked there.
In OK shape from a couple of pre match bets. If NZ only 3 or maybe 4 down at stumps I will be into the draw. |
By:
match finely poised had bet on draw @1.89 kiwis get another 50 pak hopefully settle for draw

Just did some research on Kiwis batting and was quite surprised to see how impressive Ross Taylor's career statistics are, he's by far any away NZ's best batsmen statistically. In fact his career batting average of 46 is better than Martin Crowe's average of 45 (though Kiwi pitches are flatter now than in Crowe's day), and is the second highest average for an NZ batsmen of all time.
The rest aren't much chop at all really, including McCullum who only averages 37, though Latham is obviously looking like a decent prospect. |

I am surprised to see the draw at 1.80/90 think this is a great price. With 1 day to play even if NZ give them 250 odd to chase with 60/70 overs I wonder if Pakistan will just play for the draw...
By:
Even 230 and I think Pak will settle for the draw.
Can't decide if 8s is a good price for a NZ win or not?? |
By:
pxb... I think it will trade lower. Pakistan have the 2 new openers who didn't get many in the 1st Inns. I think if they go cheaply chasing 220-250 they could get the speed wobbles, will be

This is set up nicely for a final day. Cannot for the life of me see NZ getting 10 wickets in 60-70 odd overs but its cricket and anything is possible. Taylor is the key for NZ and if he goes cheaply its game on.
By:
Which one are you talking about KOD? Yes it would be handy if NZ did have a quality spinner. Sodhi has not played enough and offers up too many dollys at this stage of his career.
By:
Declaration by McCullum. Interestingly set up now.
By:
W coming in speed now. come on kiwis
By:
Is no one following this? Pakistan 4 down for 75 odd... Boult on fire and this is interesting.
By:
Very interesting.. Cmon Kiwis
By:
i'm following it. kiwis need another pronto though, ideally younis, and then you get the full on panic in the pakistan dressing room, and we've got a game on
By:
layed the draw with a shilling yesterday. Couldn't make myself back Pakistan, which, should have been the bet. Thought above 10's was attractive on NZ as a Hail Mary / Gary Owen but went for the draw lay.
This should be a draw but then both these sides have the capacity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory or in Pakistan's case just throw it! |
By:
Think NZ seriously need to look at dropping Watling, 11 runs from 43 balls when trying to set up a declaration in 2nd innings, 1st innings 39 runs from 120, has used up a whole session for 50 runs when kiwis have been looking to win this test
By:
28 overs and they only need 144 runs the odds for a pakistan win are to high
By:
maybe

i think pak will play for the target only if they lose 6 wickets they will shut up shop, ive seen the great younis khan batter better bowlers around the park than these new zealand medium pacers, they guy can do one amazing innings
By:
not on this pitch, its a draw all day long & the light will intervene as well,so there probably wont be 28 overs
By:
draw for me and I'm opposing it! just hoping for a little bit of musty!
By:
Took a punt on the draw.
By:
sodhi is a cricket star you new zealand fans have to give him a long run, at least 40 test matches then you can get rid of him if he still under performs
By:
kiwis bowling a part timer after tea, and only 2 slips

By:
judging my younis khans stance he is looking to batter nearly every ball for a 4 or 6 it is a very dangerous game to be backing this draw, also safraz in next
