match very nicely poised for now. India effectively 145/4 which puts them in a fairly strong position. The current runline is around 329 which would give them a lead of over 300. If they get to that I'd personally have India strong faves to defend it. Early wicket or 2 tomorrow though and England will fancy skittling India. Set up for a great days play.

Nice and sunny in London right now. Blue sky, phew what a scorcher type. Heavy roller and maybe India get to 329, something I would not have countenanced yesterday and even now would sell half my bank for right now! If it does not swing this morning England could be in big trouble. If it does swing India could be the ones on the carpet.
Sometimes people miss the bleedin obvious. This is set to go to the wire and the pitch is getting worse. Even if Inida get skittled this morning they have runs on the board and imho should be favourites. Mahela has just been dismissed in Galle. SL were favourites to win this natch this morning at 2.4 ffs! Day 5 at galle, pitch spinning like a top, rough surface, reverse to come SL still need 260 odd and they were favourites. Unfortunately I have over committed on that one already and couldn't takes the sweets from babies. I made a stupid bet here too yesterday morning by backing the draw at 2.74 as I thought there was going to be a run on the draw. Bloody stupid and it has come back to bite as I haven't the funds now to take advantage of the volatility in the market. Will I ever learn? |

market loved SL earlier too and we saw what happened there
By:
yeah but dayle steyn is a proven world class bowler, indias are poor and ordinary
By:
England's batting lineup is hardly world class. India's bowling lineup so far has performed ok as well tbf - certainly better than Englands. A 250 chase should test them.

I suspect India will score at least another 100 - 150 runs so the question really is - can England play out a draw ? I suspect not.

Measuring time
I think Dhoni will be wanting 350 all out and 125 overs to bowl em out.... roughly...imho |
By:
350 lead
By:
Yeah Dhoni won't be over agressive - play England out of the game and let the pitch do it's thing. Pitch is playing nicely at the mo.
By:
hmmmm, i think i found 10 overs from somewhere for that equation,

By:
300 lead would be good enough i guess, so may get that yet...
By:
not saying he isn't just saying he hasn't looked in control during his innings
By:
dhoni's been poor with the bat for a while - surprised he lasted as long as he did.
