I've seen nothing to suggest England will have no problems batting out 4 sessions here, except of course the England batting! Draw is strong favourite... I am losing the faith! Will be patient however

Plenty of money looking to lay the draw. India need around 230 to bat Eng out of the game and on a day 4 wicket they should get it. Will we see an aggressive declaration before stumps day4. Probably not. Which means Eng need to bat around 80 overs to save the game. Maybe a 2 in 3 chance.
Anyway time to get my big Eng red down. |

In the round a pretty good performance by India. Ok it looked Topsy-Turvy but England are 9 down in 106 overs and are still 105 behind. Would have taken that this morning. No need to panic, we won't lose much, if any, time and the match should move along tomorrow.
I'm sticking with my position for now (Big green India, moderate red England, small red draw). Certainly not going to back the draw at 1.5 or less. |

End of day three. Still absolutely confused.com!
Can England bat on? Can India set a total? Can India collapse? Will the pitch deteriorate sufficiently day 5? Can England bat this one out and not cry? Will it not be any of the above because of the rain! I can't see an England win although I can see them getting shorter. I don't see the draw falling until England lose second innings wickets or it starts spinning like a top. The most important thing is not to lose money so I am in small loss situation at the moment but big red draw if it goes against me. Decided to reduce or remove red with a view to a smaller speculative punt on India later and a lay of England should their price come down significantly. |

Yes, holding red on the draw will probably require patience but have to think the shackles will loosen eventually.
Important to avoid big losses Whispering and can't blame you for reducing your liability at this stage of the game. |

even this england side at rock bottom will do well to lose it from here. probably at worst they'll have to see out half an hour on day 4 and more likely they won't be batting until day 5

Nobody think India could be steamrolled for under 200 here if eng can get a few more runs in morning.they only have 6 batsmen and looking for quick runs will not be easy

Eng have a knack of getting back into games and broad,Anderson will be on high after batting.draw or England for me.

Plus England's bowlers are all the same. Anderson/Broad are the stand out bowlers, Stokes and Plunkett are virtually the same bowler on this pitch and no proper spin bowler, would also suggest that India, will have few problems getting at least another 250. Now England struggle to score runs in the 1st innings of a match, so even 250 in the last innings, may be too many. 300 plus, would be far too many

I feel batting day 4 vs day 5 will be the difference.
India will get enough to avoid the loss and England maybe a 30% ish chance of not. |
