seriously guys

I am wondering whether to buy back SL.

England will need the second new ball if they have any chance.  Time running out for England to force the issue.  Let's see if SL price drops?

When: 15 Jun 14 18:20
yep play ends at 6.30

I take it there is no chance of an SL win

Surpsrised England are not shorter but pitch looks good and will get a roll tomorrow

Broad pushing a single was the telltale sign too. Declaring overnight means England get 2 goes at a new ball tomorrow.

England should have tried to force it earlier! SL should waste time to prevent the 100 to push Cook!
By:
maleuk01.
When: 15 Jun 14 18:22
sri lanka should try keep him below 100

tempt eng to bat an over or 2 tomm so he gets 100.

Warne is talking bollox as usual - no way are England going to leave the door open for the Lankans

to win this. Bat to close tonight and give yourself 90 overs to bowl em out tomorrow - absolutely the

right thing to do.

Tomorrow's prices: Adults £20, over 65's £10, under 16's FREE.
Should be a big crowd there to roar England on tomorrow.

For people wondering if Cook will declare overnight, he has declared 4 times in the 2nd innings, setting Bangladesh and Australia over 500 before lunch on day 4, New Zealand 468, 6 overs after Lunch on day 4 when rain was forecast and happened, and against India 356 ahead at the end of the match. In the last one England were 2-1 up in the series in the final test but still shows his defensive tactics.

ballance was asked the question last night by ward and pleaded ignorance. to me, it was a terrible lie and i'm almost sure that the declaration will come this morning.

warne was entirely right. the declaration should have come yesterday evening putting the lankans in for 10 odd overs. two lots of 20 overs with the new ball as well as a slightly attainable total maximises your chances of a win.

the conditions for swinging the ball should be excellent this morning, but if england can't get the openers, sangakarra and jayawardene with the new ball, they had better pray that they can get it to reverse.

England's spin bowler Moheen Ali, at the moment is unproven with his spin bowling and it is usually spin, that gets wickets on the final day at Lords. We do have Root as well, but no proven wicket taking spin bowler at Test Level. What we do have is some good, seam bowling and it will be that, aspect of the game that will decide whether England win or draw this Test. Get the top 6 out for 200 and England win
