this batting from lanka last 10 overs seems dumb to me.
pakistans spinners normal go for about 4.5 an over and pakistan fast bowlers go in the 6-7 range today they are batting like snails only scoring at 4 an over vs the fast bowlers, which is going to put them in the very difficult position of having to get 7 an over off the spinners. which will be very very difficult. and they dont seem concerned about upping the scoring rate currently going to need a pinch hitter to come off after this to ease the run rate pressure. |

need almost 7 per over and these 2 have scored a combined
23 from 48 have to question those tactics. with 18 of the 30 overs renaming to be bowled by ajmal/afridi |

by batting like this one of them really has to go on and make a century otherwise wasting so many balls early and not going on with it, gives the rest of the team little to no hope.

i questioned lanka's tactics earlier but now they are making up for it by being aggressive now and not leaving it til needing too much too late.
partnership now going at 5.85 an over, which is what i was hoping for when they first got together. shouldnt question sangakarra! |

after 30 over mark
pakistan 3/141 lanka 2/153 handy little lead. which i think they need because pakistan finished strong and i guess their has to be question marks on perrera who never returned to field, and mathews who returned to field but did not bowl. strong position but work still needs to be done given these question marks. |
