If he wasn't south african, he could be sent home, but they are the best avenue to players so doubt he gets anything more than a **** and a taxbreak to choose to stay an "englishman"....

Ffs fell asleep
Woke up to see mr trotts latest effort. I've never liked his boring twitchy scratchy ways. But that's the limit carberry would maybe have a chance at 3 like root would have done but trott has his fat a rse so cemented in there he's finished for the next. When trott should have no caps IMO as he is South African and wouldn't have got into their 4 th team |

Spot on DStyle..
It's as if the England Brains' Trust came up with this plan for how Trott is playing the short stuff. Hence Trott's reluctance to do anything remotely sensible like standstill, duck, leave and realise MJ will only bowl in 4 or 5 over spells... Neither dismissal was the result of a good ball. To cap it all, Lyon was placed half way back! That's the sort of trap that should only work in club cricket. |

Lets all lump on the draw!!! ![]() Bet your lumps are hovering close to the weather site ![]() |

Main concern for Eng is how ineffective Swann has been in this test match.
By:
Went to bed at lunch . Nothing happening . Just more of the same from both teams subsequently , Aussies OK , England not . Wonder will the weather play a part ?
By:
Everybody is up, and nothing? Surprising?
No.... |
By:
rain is England's only hope to take substantial time out of the game
By:
The weather won't play a part, you're deadset dreaming if you're wanting rain to save England, not in Australia.. more to the point not in the sunshine state
By:
lol. Biggest day of rain was today. It did rain. For 4.5 minutes. Forecast for next to days is Zippity and Squat.....
By:
.bom is saying 80% chance of rain - which is the hope we can cling to - cheeky lay @ 1.07?
By:
It's probably raining now looking at the radar but will be fine by the time play starts, rain
clearing now, nothing behind http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDR661.loop.shtml#skip |

By:
It said 90% last night of today's chances, look how that turned out

I'm up totally replenished wine at the ready Couple of liveners for each session
Ready to roar the guys back into the game As mr eboue said I can see a 250 stand here for next wicket Then panic setting in with the brittle Aussies followed by a ton apiece from ding dong and root next day and then an early night |
By:
Why have my posts been deleted?
By:
DREAM On Jermaine, as much as i'd like to see that happen, its not, we'll be all out for around 250.
By:
if these two bat the first two hours out the aussies might start to have doubts again.
By:
No chance of that happening, Aussies are clear favourites on what I have seen in the summer and on the first 3 days of this series to win the ashes. England team are lacking confidence. Cook, Trott, Root and Prior all cant score runs agst Australia pace attack, that was evident in the summer, cant expect Bell to score all the runs again.
With the Ball, what has happened to Jimmy, He doesn't look like taking a wicket, he was the go to guy, now he is just costly. man for man, only Bell & Broad would get in the aussie team and maybe Swann, but lyons is out spinning him at present. Worrying times for England, we could end up losing this 3 or 4-0. |

morning gents.
in these days of quantitative easing and 1%pa interest rates, 1.43% on your money over a maximum of about 32 hours is not to be sniffed at, imo. |
By:
wtf dead ball
By:
only 500 to go. We've got yer just where we wanted!
By:
Looking ok. Only need 3 an over, so would suggest that the draw unlikely although Cook will try to bat the day out and if in a position to up the rate later and go for the win, do so then.
Odds on the move though. Without a wicket, could easily see this going up to 1.20 within the next half hour or so. Have a 1.10 lay in place, looking for a good solid 30-40 minutes batting.. |
By:
Pietersen! haha what a pillock
By:
KP would be the most overrated bat in all of cricket
By:
johnson was setting him up for that shot too......KP fell for his trap
By:
he's always done it
it being 'played a shot completely at odds with the state of the match and got out unnecessarily' remember him getting out in the 75 th over with the new ball due 10 overs before stumps playing some rubbish shot |
By:
What a fcuking goose. Haven't had a bet for 2 days, and choose then to enter lol...
By:
KP cant resist it , if he had to play that shot on the last day to save a match, he'd still go for the slog
By:
I think he just tried to paddle it around the corner and got a top edge. Not a percentage shot though!
By:
The pitch looks fine; if Carberry hadn't got out yesterday, could have been a long slog for Aus on this deck
By:
draw 20/1 is a joke, in reality must be 500/1
By:
13/1 now! fill yer boots if u have a mahoosive bank
By:
put into perspective, I remember the draw was 10/1 on the final day when Aus played SA and they batted all day. We are 2 sessions away from that, albeit 2 more wickets
By:
Good session for England.
By:
anyone think these two could bat all day
By:
it does look flat but 9s for the draw - c'mon
By:
defo lost the pace of the first few days
