Surprised the draw is at 4s minimum, Eng 1.67, NZ sevens. Dunedin just sounds like a rainy place, decent back to lay pre match? Less than seven grand matched so far.

I expect some quick scoring with a hard ball and attacking field. I also expect Compton to make the walk of shame!
I would predict an NZ win after tea tomorrow should there be no fireworks with the new ball. England should bat ok today as long as the cloud doesn't help Southee and Wagner too much. Martin might take a couple tomorrow afternoon.

i am not a massive compton fan - but think he gets a little bit of a hard time. he ground out good time in India - didnt kick on, but batted for a reasonable amount of time. now one inns in nz where everyone else fails and he has got no chance..

true.. but when a team that bats first get rolled for 160, and the number 4 comes in at 250-2, to say if he adds a hundred there may well be a bit of a lead. inane noise to me

problem is NZ only need a few lapses of concentration from ENG and wickets go.
Not sure I agree the draw is too low. The bottom line is that this should be comfortable for England. Yes, it's a long time to bat without losing any concentration but I think England should do so comfortably.
Agree with Darlo. If NZ can make nearly 500 against England attack, England should be capable of similar against this attack.

This bowling is absolute pie. I can see why all the England bowlers got themselves out against this. There to be smashed.

I doubt we will see an aggressive declaration from Eng, but if we do and McSlogger gets going we could see a result.

New ball has already come out. In fact it's already 7 overs old.
Only way now for either ENG or NZ to win is a collapse from either side. On this pitch it looks almost impossible.
In fact even if ENG repeat their batting performance from day 2 from here on in they'd have a lead of 100 by tea.
Probably not enough but it's going to be cloudy all day tomorrow so unlikely to get a full day's play in either.
Odds look right to me.
