I would of thought that Enland should trade at a higher price at some point during the game.Much will depend [as ever ] who wins the toss - I would imagine that they will elect to bat first ,and how rusty the reintroduced England players are.

I have layed England @ 1.56 and I am hoping that I can trade out @ 1.85 or so.

Good luck to all those who get involved in this ODI.

I think that NZ missed a trick in electing to bowl after winning the toss.

Spread runs 280-290 very high for a team just coming togther away from home regardless of short boundaries.. 250 will prob win Eng this

Looks like the late pre match money is backing England.I would imagine that England will be looking to hit the ground running and put the NZ bowl attack to the sword very early in the match.

England could not live with the NZ swing attack in the 20/20 on this Hamilton wicket.

I favour NZ here especially as England don`t have a great 1 day record in NZ and it may take a match or 2 to tune in the players who have just joined the team.

my gut feel is that anderson, finn and swann could prove to be the major difference.

we're an excellent one day bowling side with those three, and with conditions to suit, england should feel comfortable defending anything over 230.

morning peeps...trott looking very circumspect so far 5 off about 20 balls. Good bowling so far but 3 an over with just one wicket down? can't get any singles without nearly being run out.

i would like to rescind that last statement about 230.

didn't realise this ground was so small.
By:
tallpaul24

hard when first three batsmen haven't been playing...60m boundaries all the way round :) 6 runs of the last 4 overs...shall i go to sleep..trott is helping that idea.

england have missed a trick playing trott on a ground this size.

i've said it before and i'll say it again, he has to be selected based on the ground and the conditions.

there are times when he should be the first name on the sheet, and other times when the best way he could help the team is to bring the drinks on.

Blimey they could have just played some of the t:20 batsmen on this pitch no need for these defensive trundlers on this small boundry!

unfortunately dstyle he's in awful nick too..eng prob missed a trick not having one of the guys that has been playing being promoted to top 4. new z bowling being made to look like world beaters

ffs trott get out!
By:
tallpaul24
When: 17 Feb 13 02:31
hope he gets going now as he's wasted 2-3 overs of the innings thus far and doubt more than 3 balls have been off the middle of the bat and he's forcing bell to up the pace.
By:
Dr.Cypionate

At least eng are building a base for the t20 players to come in and play there natural game
By:

By:
tallpaul24
When: 17 Feb 13 02:37
trott helped that wicket....made bell take the risks whilst he sat back doing very little 26 off 52....not enough  so far
