in sydney the umpires made the call not because it was going to be dangerous to the players but because they considered the wet outfield to present a disadvantage to the fielder side.
obviously tonight they don't think it does. i have every sympathy with the lankans here. it's double standards and the selective interpretation could lead to them not winning a single limited overs competition against australia when they should have won both. |

i agree entirely it was the wrong decision and that clarke was a massive **** for not going back out.
let's not pretend for a moment that it was a decision made without massive amounts of pressure from the australians. so i'm entirely sympathetic with the sri lankan's not wanting to go out. |
