so take ten minutes out the game, sacrifice possible quick runs which will now have to be scored twice in the match (assuming the lankans get a lead) for four overs before lunch.
it's not speeding the game up nor making a result more likely, imho. i like clarke and his captaincy, but he got this wrong imho. |

the nine lot are a disgrace, and along with ritchie's age related reticence and the death of the only neutral commentator, not one of them pointed out that if lyon is getting sharp turn, herath is going to be a massive handful batting last on this.

By:
i'm more interested in how many takes it took for shane watson to get that question out.

richie is 82 and still commentating

No chance of the draw now - what price did it get to overnight though? Would have been a great lay in single figures.

Dilshan scored a 100 in Hobart. He is safe.

Has another commentator died recently? Surely no-one was suggesting Tony Greig was neutral!

when is james going to have the conversation with stan about his stakes being limited?

By:
the DRS is a joke - how was that ball to Clarke deviating so much - dead set out
|
|
By:
It is not 100% accurate thats why if you are 3 mtrs down the track then they acknowledge that it may or may not have clipped the stump. It is not designed to reverse that type of decision if the umpire had control of the drs i doubt he would have even reviewed it - that has never been given out in the past i dont think it should be now even with drs. if you are 3 mts down it should be hitting middle before it is reversed and given out
|
|
By:
Was a bit far down the pitch imo Craig

By:
^ what he said

it's another example of the why the DRS has got to stop using these ridiculous heuristics.
it's about the proven error of the system, so let's use that and use that exclusively. i've said before, it should be based on a conical predicted flight path and if any part of that conical path contains enough space for the ball to miss the stumps, it's inconclusive and stays on field. it gets rid of this ridiculous middle of the ball inside the inside of the stumps as well. the current situation issh1t, and it's the actually the attempt to oversimplify it with flawed heuristics which is ruining it. they are constantly changing them which makes the whole process seem even more uncertain. (incidentally 1.1 for Clark to shoulder arms to a straight one to let Hussey score the winning runs) |
