if it stops raining, the ground will be ready in no time as happened in last match

Interesting that you are all taking positions on this market having not looked at the radar... I wouldnt be laying No for the next few hours anyway...

Also you have to question how quickly they want to get the pitch ready, for all the other games rushing has made Sri Lanka win comfortably. They might not be in a rush today!

Think it will be touch and go personally... radar indicates it could ctually rain non stop for next few hours. There is also a hell of a lot of water on covers which will take time to clear. Feasibly have a 4 hour delay here... if that is the case GSM CMM.

At the very worst, they will say that NZ innings is over and SL go into bat with a target set for them to get in 20 overs... Happened the other day...

Betfire is lying - reports from ground state it is still raining heavily... This was posted 1 minute ago

Roshan Abeysinghe ‏@RoshanCricket
I am afraid its still raining and no letting up at all. Pools of water on the covers and out side the playing perimeter too.

anybody know the cut off time?
By:

Second Session 18.45-22.15 - so they need to be out there by 2100 to bowl 20 overs which is 1530 uk time

You haven't accounted for the extra hour provided under the playing conditions Cool

assuming no changes from last match, cut off time is 2315 local time.
By:
Bravado_Billionaire
When: 12 Nov 12 12:24
you sure? means they will play past midnight...? seems late, not saying its wrong just seems very late
By:
DStyle
When: 12 Nov 12 12:28
no, they wont play past midnight.

the game has to be complete by 2315.

the one thing i'm not sure of is whether there has to be time for 20 overs of the kiwis innings. given that the 20 over target is probably going to be under a 100, they would need considerably less than 20 overs to knock it off.

let's assume there needs to be 20 overs, in which case you've got a decision being made at 2115 local time.

By:

When: 12 Nov 12 12:34
Looks that way to me... I am by no means a meteorologist.. but looks like there may be a small break of 30 mins and then a load more hitting and will be there for a while. As such I have taken a position of No on CMM.

Bravado. I see you only use information that suits your book. You haven't mentioned this:

Roshan Abeysinghe ‏@RoshanCricket
Its still raining but a very thin drizzle so hopefully we should see the end of the rain soon and with it some play may be???
By:

When: 12 Nov 12 12:36
i think the 20 over target is 80 runs give or take a few for published tables/professional tables.
By:
betfire
When: 12 Nov 12 12:37
if the rain stops later in the night, will they put nzl straight into bat for 20 overs? or will there be some for lankans?
By:

Roshan confirms it is 20 overs...

Jeremy that was posted after I posted - it was also updated on cricinfo... I was providing my interpretation of the weather radar and state looks like could ease up for 30 mins before it hits again hard.
