so west indies win?

nah morillo , west indies don't win the match if it continues to rain , it will be a NO RESULT , but that means they go through to the super 8's with a better run rate than ireland ...

Just a reminder, close of play is 11pm local and we need five overs which takes about 20 minutes so we probably need to be on by about 10.40pm

this is done

They need to be on and bowling by 6.10pm our time which is less than 15 min. Covers still over the entire pitch and still raining. No chance

When they only have one match in the day you would think they would schedule an earlier time and allow for more stoppages

Are all bets voided? Except the complete match market?

very benevolent of you.  I'd have grabbed as much of the CMM = No at the time and walked away

out of interest - does anyone know why all rain calcs on overs were wrong?  That's what caused myself and morse some heartache there.

Dont think the rain calcs were wrong. As I understand it there is half an hours grace before any overs are lost. After half an hour every further 4 minutes lost equals one over lost, but each team loses an over in turn (sort of) so after 38 minutes lost the game is 19 overs a side, 46 minutes lost 18 overs a side and so on. Also, as they did here, 10 minutes can be taken from the innings break reducing it from 20 to 10 mins, so in theory a 50 min break, as was the case here (roughly) only results in the batting side losing one over. Hope that makes sense.

thanks for that tommy - I'd forgotten the very obvious reduction of an over from both sides!

Yeah, because these rules are so terribly different and arbitrary there really is money to be made by understanding them and trading based on them.  Steep learning curve for me but enjoying it
