I'll wait til the 1st day to see what they say about the pitch and the weather. Assuming neither pull me in another direction, I'd be tempted to back India or lay the draw from the outset. Almost 1.8 on India looks very generous based on that dire 1st test performance from NZ.

Draw price going down, down, down... weather forecast worsening and pitch reports say this one won't be as spinner friendly. Worth backing the draw/laying India now then reassessing tomorrow.

last weeks forecast was much worse than this weeks,if you listen to cricket info they say rains over the weekend most of the forecasts aint got much rain if any sat and 2moro looks pretty ok.to say this pitch wont assist spinners as much as last has no bearing for me as its nz inability to play spin not the state of the pitches they play when did nz last score enough runs to make a test go the distance.the price has come in so much its like they are gonna lose a whole day at least.they lost half a day last test and india still won witha day spare. 3 for the draw is too low let alone 2.38

Bangalore not known for big spin but then neither was Hyderabad and look how that turned out..
Have said for a while that India may want to use this series as practice on big turners in anticipation of the revenge series with england so we could see another turner.. Indian groundsman are pretty good at preparing surfaces to order. They turned the usually spin friendly Mumbai pitch ultra flat last yr when Tendulkar was searching for his 100th ton. They could make this one rag square if they want. its happened before at this ground..
so wait and see for me but expecting India to trade odds against again and win.

this is simply impressive..hw do u keep track of these things..specially even a wam up match...awesome...
abt this match i think NZ is bit under rated..some of their batsmen has done well In India.. yes they had a bad game..but I expect them to show a fight in B'lore..so lay India for me..

weather may look terrible but this isnt england, pitches dry up quickly after thunder storms and the sun tends too come out every day, banking on the weather is dangerous.

Is this the first time since Edgbaston 2005 that a side has talked about coming out and batting positively after being tonked in the previous game, and actually coming out and doing it?
Will be great if the rest of the Test is like Edgbaston 2005.

4/100 in the 1st innings in india is fkin amazing mate. kiwis got rid of the awful martin too so more tail end runs and hopefully more wkts. if kiwis make the 350+ the spreads say and the rain stays away they are more of a 4/1 shot here. they still wont win tho

Whereas the original plan was what was the best price you might get on India, now it is how low will the Kiwis trade before they mess it up?
Getting interesting this now.Whereas the original plan was what was the best price you might get on India, now it is how low will the Kiwis trade before they mess it up?
If they game starts on time then India worth a back. New Ball and NZ can collapse. Also when India bat Sehwag to hit a couple and the market will shake.
I remember when WI made 550 odd batting 1st, India were 2nd favourites ahead of windies in less than 10 overs.
Cant call the weather so important to see how the day looks before making any trades

Australia in the last test played here scored over 400 and yet lost it..NZ are no where near that australian side..Markets are about right now...but draw should see 1.3 lows I think..weather looks bad, friends in banglore suggest its raining quite a bit these days so i m backing draw till the first innings is played by both the sides would take it further from there on...NZ a good lay at this price.

Last test scored 440 odd against the Kiwis and the previous test at home scored 500 against windies.
DOnt compare India's home performance Vs Overseas performance. Largest delta in performance home and away in the last year. Can rack up a big score and even if they dont can bowl kiwis out cheaply second dig. For Eg Lost 5-0 in the ODI'ss to ENgland and beat them 5-0 in the ODI's at home.
Weather a huge player. If this was a sure shot 5 day test India would have won 8 out of 10 times but with weather around you need to think through your trades
Will only back India tomorrow morning if no weather around and will try a key trades. Cant have a very large liability on the draw here

An advantage of thi game is it is moving at a rapid pace. Scorecard suggest Day 3 in reality it is half way at Day 2.
Result likely. NZ not a bad 10/1 shot.

NZ still a good lay..they are not winning this one now..these two have got India out of danger now..all pressure back on NZ and they would crumble now.

New Zealand do have a shot with the balll seaming and will continue to do so in the second innings but India will probably dismiss NZ cheaply in the second dig and scrape through though keeping some of my 10/1 on NZ.
Fantastic test pitch this with the ball seaming, spinning and coming onto the bat to play your shots.

Draw a nice punt for now..weather tomorrow looks dicy and I would give at least 2 sessions to rain..which would be enough for market to get them at about 3s..NZ lay as always a safe bet.

Much depends on the various weather forecasts where, for instance, the BBC say that there's rain/thunderstorms likely for today and tomorrow whereas the majority of local forecasters are saying that the likelihood of precipitation is relatively remote.

1.40: Message from the ground is that it's an annoyingly steady drizzle. Oh well. Now the rain has relented and the covers are coming off. That's good news. Over the last few months, I've jinxed matches regularly thanks to the rain. Don't even get me started on Sri Lanka.. Well plenty of you mailing in giving weather updates from various parts of Bangalore. It's baffling that it hasn't rained in certain places near the stadium.

anyone know what price India touched when Raina fell at 166 for 5 , still needing 90 odd ?? must have been 1.25ish i would imagine ... just 2 T20's left in this series , really enjoyed trading the 2 tests , always plenty of opportunities well done India for 2 test wins and at good in-running prices too

Good series. India winning but some silly odds on INdia in both tests with the draw coming in too short.
Plenty to trade in the 2nd test but Lumpers and Leavers making about 175% for 2 weeks work
Was hoping for 1.5 when raina went but got only 1.33. WOnder if DHoni had gone soo India could have lost that one
