forecast isn't great

it also isn't a sell out yet

another financial disaster for Old Trafford.  They are having a bad time of it.

Weather Charts don't look bad early but this is where the stupidity of Cricket's Decision Makers shows itself, they will not cut down overs until after its Pi$$ed Down where it would be better to trim the overs before the Pi$$ Down occurs!  Improving the chance of getting a game in!

At least you're not alone this summer Franco

In the memorable 2005 ashes series I had a ticket for the Saturday at Old Trafford - had never looked forward to a day at the cricket so much but was p***ing down when I opened my curtains and continued raining almost all day. Lived near enough to not bother travelling, they bowled just enough overs to avoid me getting a refund. Only really badly affected day of entire series. Gutted

costs me £150 in travel to get to Manchester, not sure the atmosphere of a wet Old trafford with Cricket ground priced drinks and a view of an empty wet Cricket pitch really makes up for that cost!

not been mentioned yet but no Watto or Lee tomorrow, both have flown home with injuries.

Australia batting looking very weak, full game or the likely (if anything) reduced overs.

b365 - will a hundred be scored in match, no at 1.50.  seems good value seeing a rain shortened game a good possibility if a game is played.

northbouy, careful they'll void if innings reduced by more than 5 overs..

To Score 50/100/150/200
Bets will stand after batsman has faced one ball or is given out before first ball is faced. Score counts if batsman is Not-Out including if innings is declared.

Test Matches and First Class Matches - Subject to the above all bets will stand irrespective of delays caused by rain or for any other reason.

One Day Matches - Bets will be void if the intervention of rain or any other delay results in the number of overs being reduced by 5 overs or more than that scheduled when the bets were struck unless settlement of bets is already determined.

sorry, wrong rules!

A Hundred to Be Scored in the Match
The following minimum number of overs must be scheduled, and there must be an official result (Duckworth - Lewis counts) otherwise all bets are void, unless settlement is already determined.
Twenty20 Matches - The full 20 overs for each team.
One Day Matches - At least 40 overs for each team.
Test and First Class Matches - The whole match counts. In drawn matches there must be a minimum of 200 overs bowled.

Radar suggests will stop soon

Then begins mopping up operation

Start very likely to be delayed

But play very likely

@kenny mann
The MetOffice website
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/?tab=map&map=Rainfall
shows rain pretty much continuously until at least 10pm.
Which website shows it clearing as if it is, I'd like to get some of the $2.00 on offer for there being a result!

Thanks

When: 10 Jul 12 13:01
assuming no more rain they wont start before 5pm IMO

i can see the umpires inspecting at 2pm then at 4pm then at 6pm and calling the game off

Lancs will want the speccies to be buying beer until late evening before calling game off

If this was a county game they would have called it off hours ago

Ensured I was £1k red on the series to get the £200 cash back. Bugar.

Will have to adjust in completed match market.

When: 10 Jul 12 13:58
rain stopped here about an hour ago and its reasonably bright with a breeze blowing
the radar does not show any rain in the next few hours
I guess the issue will be how quickly the ground dries up
I backed no cm but its certainly not a hopeless cause
