you can't judge a batsman's T20 record exclusively on the IPL, which for the most part are played on exceptionally good batting wickets.
without wanting to sound like a stuck record, the real tactical change that needs to happen in 20:20s (and probably 50 overs as well) is much greater flexibility in picking the right batsmen for the right wickets. kallis is a very questionable selection on roads, his risk reward ratio is unsuitable. anything with a bit in it for the bowlers and he's a superb asset. |
