Another 80 runs from these two and things start to get mildly interesting from a betting point of view. Not before.
Great to see some competitive test match cricket. Some excellent stuff from the windies since it looked all over yesterday morning. |
By:
Yeah. disagree with dougy though - I think the draw is still more likely than WI win.
By:
new ball after lunch as well
By:
after these two teh windies have nothing, but if this partnership can get them 60-70 ahead, the tail and Sammy particularly may be able to slog them to a 160-170 lead
By:
west indies can lose 6 wickets for 30 runs, they are that kind of team
By:
Nigel is that becuase the windies are likely to bat for long enough to set England a target unchaseable in the tiem remaining??
It's pitch black right now and they're still playing!!!! |
By:
I'm thinking more that they could stay in all day today and then much of tomorrow.
By:
For me that is far less likely than them being all out for a target that either be chased or defended. draw will hit a 1000's before the windies in this match. market hopeing for a monsoon imo.
By:
Its not impossible nigel, just think whole lower order prefer to score quick runs rather than bat time
By:
true. getting fascinating I must admit.
By:
if this partnership puts on another 50 the press might start being a little less condescending towards this team
and the market might wake up as well |
By:
draw looks attractive
By:
New ball remember after lunch - that could make the difference
By:
Lads, bit of a long-shot this.
Any of you listen to TMS yesterday??? My elderly Mam was listening to it and insisted that there was a lot of commentary from Blowers and co mentioning Botham, almost as if he was playing. What the hell is she on about? Commntary from an old game from years back??? Cheers if you can help. |
By:
cant help alun sorry
though they do tend to go off on some strange old tangents |
By:
Draw into 8. Getting close to a big lay with the new ball due.
By:
How are we liking the draw here?
By:
146 overs left. Windies would need to bat another 80 odd overs to make the draw likely.
By:
For Alun2005. I caught the back end of that yesterday when I switched on. I thought it was for a rain break.
The programme then cut to the adverts so I'm not sure what it was about but she isn't wrong. |

Broady back in business here. That was vital.
By:
Thank you Kim. Always liked you as a hurdler too !
By:
No probs Steppy.
By:
No trouble at all Alun.
By:
Draw taking over now, need a nice steady 10-15 overs now with Chanderpaul making his century.
By:
Anyone see what price England were before the wicket please?
By:
1.35
By:
Cheers mate. The sky looks bleak there, think they'd be off at most grounds by now...
By:

By:
at least swann not bagging his team mates today
By:
know he's the best player by a mile but that was a ludicrous review
By:
that was the game changer. I must admit I could have seen him in for another 40 overs.
By:
Ludicrous decision more like-htf could he have given that as it was just shaving leg stump
By:
great decision
By:
shaving leg stump have you and Nick knight both been to the same opticians?
it was smashing the leg stump out of the ground. |
By:
Markets finally got its head out of it arse and realised the windies have more chance of winning this than it being a draw.
By:
been wrong for last 2 days dougy like draw was 4.5 earlier
![]() |
By:
31 overs left for the day- looking at the light, possibly finish early but windies really have to bat at least till first hour tmrw, or even half an hour before lunch to save it.
bat till lunch and its saved though. so 15/1 to bat 45-odd overs from here for draw backers. |
