I think some matches are fixed. I dont have evidence, but I just think that there are far too many last ball innings, far too many dodgy penultimate overs etc. in comparison to T20 matches as a whole. There are too many low scores defended and too many high scores chased. And I won't change that view.
Let's not assume anything here Chennai are the most overrated team in the IPL
I like the people who reckon that IPL is dodgy. It's statistically obvious that a shortened format of the game would lead to unlikely results. That's why a Test Match is a real test of cricketers because it takes place over several days and there are a lot of overs, so Test Matches are more predictable. IPL is the cricketing equivalent of a coin toss...
It does seem that an 'excitement factor' has been built in to some of these matches.

This is not a difficult total on this pitch that good catch to get Uthappa pretty much changed the game if they didn't have that then Pune would be cruising now
Only needs these to keep RRR down below 9/10 for the next few overs and it's anyone's game...
But why would you get those stats so frequently obliterated in IPL and not in other T20 tournaments?
Whoever was backing CSK @ 1.2 needs to have a word with themselves, regardless of the outcome.
I havent got the stats SoA, but I'll have a look. At this point, though, I'll probably say you're exagerrating

Samuels has had a really poor strike rate in some games
