Not sure Sri Lanka actually believe they can win this
One bet would be England to win it as they just look so comfortable and Sri Lanka appear so defensive and lacking self belief....Would not wanna stake my house on them though. |

In the context of this game wides are an issue and nice to see one given finally..

I am on
England Trott 1101 for the comp an england win would be 1065 (I think) and I need Trott to get 60 more to beat Jaya not looking likely is it ![]() |

2.42 for sl,thats big
By:
that was just as wide
should have been called too |
By:
some of these deliveries are borderline wide.... how was he supposed to hit that one
By:
this randeev a proper 2 bob bowler

Nailbiting stuff and a great watch. I'd make SL favourites here - much has been made of England's tail, but they have made runs when the top order has failed and they are facing huge deficits, so can play without pressure and fling the bat. I think it will be a different story if they are 30 or so from victory and have to bat more cautiously. A lot depends on these two.
By:
Problem for SL is that Herath is the only threat. No one else looks close to getting a wicket.
By:
if you get england win and close to runs might be enough d13
did anyone pick england win and jaya to bat combo ? |
By:
exactly berto77......

tie is a big player here imo, certainly the value.

england closing in on a famous victory here
![]() expect a few twists and turns along the way though |
By:
Had trott too here but think I went for about 1250 runs
By:
Damn I have to go out but when I get back I expect an England victory as has been said Sri Lanka only have one bowler. Athers just says 50 singles in Trotts century
that is poor field placing then in any form of cricket expecially seeing as though Trott will happily stay there all day pushing singles....he aint KP |
By:
The more annoying thing about this England performance compared to the first innings is that the conditions are almost identical. We really need to look at our approach
By:
indeed, poor application 1st innings. England should wipe the floor with this lot really.
By:
90 needed
By:
i think they got carried away because of the warm up games and maybe over keen-ness from the Pakistan loss
test cricket obviously a much sterner test |
By:
@cb yeah agree completely, Australia in thier pomp would have hammered this lot
By:
Would love to see Samit cement his place in the side here. Would make England so much more balanced having a batsman who also offers front-line left-arm spin.
Would also help to keep Monty away from side and stinking out the fielding. |
By:
wouldnt rule out a run out here
By:
Screamers - Would you like sammy to bat 6 then?
By:
plenty of flight from herath....Patel looking solid though....
By:
exactly, too many gifts in the 1st innings, need to be more rutheless

Silly boy

famous last words!!!

big positive for me in this test has been the swings in the prices in Asia
I think DRS makes trading a lot easier for Asian test matches it used to be painful |

SL 1.66.

Why are the odds still so even absolutely no way England are going to win.

coming down to the wire this one

Bloody hell, Samit.
