11 might be big but NZ need an innings of 401 - that is highely unlikely even with the 137 already achieved - I actually think it's a good lay bet myself.
The value for me is in the draw which I agree will slide assuming no play until the afternoon. |

New Zealand need 264 runs on the last day to win , right ... if we lose 30 to 40 overs in the first half of the day , the required rate will be over 4.5 for the Kiwis to make the target , the ground staff ain't likely to bust a gut to get the ground ready for a game that NZ can only save or lose ...will be fascinating to see how this pans out , heres a rain radar for NZ , those with lop-sided books would be well advised to keep a close eye on it in the hours before scheduled start time ...

Worth remembering that the reason play started late on day 2 was not just the dew, but the fact Dunedin doesn't have a Super Sopper. Groundstaff were having to use rolls of hessian to soak up the moisture.

Play was due to start half an hour early because of the time lost on day one but a wet patch on the outfield prevented that. A soggy strip in the shadows of the trees bordering the ground had no access to sunlight or heat of any description and overnight dew caused the area to be too moist for day two to start as scheduled. If sa win 2-0 then England will still have to win in sl to retain the number one spot, so they will still defo have the motivation, up to them if they perform or not. If we don't win there then we deserve to drop from atop. If we beat them then we deserve it probably. Would be a bit of a p1sser if we lost the top ranking IMO. Regarding Morgan... Well he has been dropped. Bell, I dunno, has hardly ever performed for England when under big pressure. Thought his ton fifty batting at number three v India last summer might finally be the defining innings for him, but then the first hint of a bit of pressure and he's crap again in pak. He is mentally weak, simple as that.

I just hate the whole idea of hoping for rain in order to cement a ranking. Cheapens the ranking and takes away honour of having achieved it.
I'd much rather everything went right for S Africa and they won this series 3-0, then England had to fight and wrestle the number one spot back in Sri Lanka. Then it would be something to feel proud of. |

it raining and he very gloomy about prosepects for play he says "raining reasonably heavily" |

Reckon the draws gone too low here. Could still squeeze in 40-50 overs which might be all saffers need if they get a couple of early wickets.
Outside chance for sure but definitely wouldnt want to be backing draw at 1.21 here. |
