By:
Next man in Dan Christian I personally don't think is good enough to even be in the side, which is not a problem because as soon as Watson comes back he won't be
By:
thats out
By:
Is that not out?

By:
not out

Yeah agree Dado. Think he is only in the team because IPL showed him a huge contract and Aus must have figured they saw something in him. He has done ok in state cricket, and probably in a team scoring well, but he is not the player that can take control of an innings. Well can, just not likely to. I suspect if others are failing around him, he will be no standout. Think Aus have better options, but he has the chance so I guess we see if he takes it or not.

By:
pitch looks a 300 pitch
By:
POsitive change. Needs five overs could determine the match.
By:
But I think the pitch isn't as good as the outfield here. Warner only one to really get the pace of the ball and still got out cheaply.
220 may be a big statement, but it is certainly very defendable. I do think they make more than that though. Clarke and Hussey very strong willed batsmen so I suspect they do their best to hang around for the next 10-15 regardless of how much they score. They won't panic anyway. Lose one of them, I have no faith in Christian to take the reigns. I do have enough faith in these 2 though to have the odds exactly where they are. 250-270 is definately where they will be aiming, and that is way too much for SL. SL really need to attack here and go for broke. The more settled these 2 get, the more the game slips away from them. They can afford a couple of big overs if they get the prize wicket as there is not much left to come. 260 sees Aus 1.30 favs. 220 around 2.50. |

By:
Believe me it wont look a 300 pitch when Starc and Harris are cutting the Lankan batsmen in half and bowling at their helmets.
By:
come on malinga in the block hole
By:
This is not on they are on top of Aussies lets go for the kill guys come on
By:
Complete waste of an over from Malinga. That was like a loosener.
By:
That tough catch which was dropped looks more and more important now having said that aussies could be 140/6 in no time
By:
All the guys out were left handers do you think that might have something to do with it or just coincidence
By:
could be somethink to do with it
By:
Game is slipping away from SL here. Badly need a breakthrough, but both batsmen looking comfortable now.
By:
This is building into what could be a match winning partnership if they bat a further 5-10 overs.
By:
lanka into containg trap must bowl according to aussies weakness bowl spinner take a wicket and control the game
