At Dubai same venue as the 1st Test which lasted 3 days. Teams likely unchanged - possibly Bopara for Morgan?
Teeing up a substantial draw lay here - a lay at around 3 seems superb value:
Dead rubber - no reason for either side to play for the draw here High quality bowling attacks on both teams Pretty sure to get 5 days in weather wise DRS
Only thing I can see in favour of the draw is that scoring rates have tended to be sluggish, so if England do suddenly work out how to stay in could be some slow sessions. England may be forced to more aggressive tactics though - which would seem to make a draw even less likely.
Early thoughts : England CANT play spin Prediction : England WONT be able to cope up with the quality of spin Important statistic : England dont win in non swinging/non bouncy conditions, and CANT play spin. Bets : Lay England\back Pakistan (cant believe the odds available on pakistan here) Stake : 5/10, as dead rubber, and Pak can be notoriously, less arsed for this.

quite a push on the draw tonight. Out to 3.95 now team news? pitch report? I guess Dubai is now a result venue with 2/3 results here and the last test over in 3 days. would like to lay the draw here but 3/1 pre match aint my thing..

the money for england must be coming from those in the UK, surely? how are they favs for this test after what's happened in the first two? I can understand the motivation of avoiding a clean sweep series embarrassment will be very strong for England, stronger than Pak's motivation to clean sweep the series, they'll be very content with where they are at i'd imagine. But given what we've seen, Pak surely go in to this match favourite.

You can look at things in many ways. You could say Eng have improved from the 1st test to the 2nd test. If they improve again further here you can see them winning + Pak's motivation is questionable here.
personally, these markets in the desert pretty much shout from the rooftops whether they fancy a draw or a result. wait for the market to talk imo.

according to Misbah there is less grass and it looks a better batting pitch.
Question for you all and we'll get to see who wins after...CBL give you the option to choose your own run lines in 140 run brackets with odds of evens.
What run line would you go for each team for the 1st innings score?
I've done England 240-389

Cricinfo's thoughts on the pitch and conditions...
The pitch for the first Test offered a little assistance to the bowlers but this surface is brand new, never been used. There is less grass on this pitch, with Misbah saying: "It looks an even better wicket than the first Test, especially for batting." This could finally be the run-fest we were expecting before the start of the series.

I'll be fascinated by how it plays. Very difficult to stop a pitch from baking in this weather.
It was of course open to the elements for 5 days then it would have been watered, covered at times and cut lower and lower as this test approached.

Hence why, you can not have any meaningful open positions with betfair because of the technical issues resulting in down time. I just feel sorry for the folk who just get wipped out as all matched bets stands regardless of down time
