The Brits earned three track titles in under an hour, with Jessica Ennis gutting her way to gold in the heptathlon, Greg Rutherford somehow winning the long jump, and Mo Farah running away with the men's 10,000m as Willie and Kate jumped up and down in the stands. Add those to two golds and a silver in rowing, and one gold in women’s cycling and it was a great day for the home team. They passed Russia to take the third spot in the standings.
