anyone following this? truly a rollercoaster. fav went down to 1.07 and then shot up to 10s when the other 2 cleared and he failed, then he skipped and cleared 4.97 at the LAST try when the other 2 failed, was a sweat for me as well

yep you can only take your hat off to the french favourite. looked like winning it on the bridle with 3 first time clearances and then when out of the blue the 2 germans cleared 5.91 he was under enormous pressure. a worthy champion indeed.

yeah well deserved, had been the best all year

had him at 1.78 at the start and then topped up at 1.2 in the middle, thought he would cruise it. He missed 5.91 while the other 2 german dudes cleared, thought that my money is down the drain when he missed his first try at 5.97 with only his last try left to save my bacon. I could only pray as he approached the last try, hoping that he at least gets a good prop. He did and now just has to clear without contacting the bar. My heart stopped there for that few seconds and HE DID IT!
