Shame you're dissing the king of commentators. Old school, but still great class. "The more you have, the more you're expected to have" was a class line tonight. One of my favourite commentators of all time.

My reaction last night was "where did they dig him up from"....he's like the Dads Army reservists of commentators, I've never rated him and last night was embarassing.

Yes, commentating as if he had if he had a string of Olympic medals. Will soon be put out to grass.

he says "now i'm no expert on this" before going on an incredulous rant as if he is an expert, and then comes back to the colour commentator with "am I right???". V.poor approach to commentating, like something you'd expect from an arm chair critic sat in front of the telly.

Never been a fan of him since he disrespected one of my penalty misses on Actua Soccer on the Playstation in 1996, my estimation of him went downhill that night.
