Replies: 83 08 Aug 12 09:52 Totally clean. What I hate about this argument is that the 'they're all at it' brigade claim a sort of superiority. I.e. if you don't believe everyone is on drugs you are either a) blinded by patriotism (BTW, I don't belive the Yanks, Aussies etc etc ar 'at it' either) or b) you are a moron. Well come on then, let's hear your evidence rather than your lazy rants. Name the GB track cyclists on drugs. Name the drugs used. Name the creators/administrators of the GB track cycling drugs program. Or do you just hold views based on "I reckon they are, nudge, nudge"? Utterly brilliant post. Like I've said before, come in here slinging around ill-informed comment about 'the Juice', trying to look like someone in the know. Get fronted by someone who wants names, dates, personnell and fine details and you get a resounding silence or worse still, 'ah, just wait for 20 years until the technology catches up'. I can speak with a minor level of knowledge (Sports Science dissertation on Drug Abuse in Sport) of the subject and some insights into what GB Rowing has done to combat drugs cheats (which is what these people are) in their sport. It would be dumb to say 100% of athletes are clean - who will ever know to that extent? if a rower failed a drugs test, it wouldn't be a case of them handing back their medal; it would be more a question of whether they could first crawl out of the lake at Caversham following the beat-down administered to them by their team mates. |

Of course the British cycling team is on drugs, obviously it must be some brand-new stuff. I'll let Mr Wiggins' response to a similar accusation a few weeks back help you to clear this one up. 'I say they're just f****** w******. I cannot be doing with people like that. 'It justifies their own bone-idleness because they can't ever imagine applying themselves to do anything in their lives. 'It's easy for them to sit under a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of s***, rather than get off their a**** in their own lives and apply themselves and work hard at something and achieve something. 'And that's ultimately it. C**** |

Anyone who's driven through Manchester to see the stunning amount of Sky/GB cyclists training everywhere will know the size of the operation going on up there.
I live in Manchester- never seen one! 100% clean though- the general attitude to drugs in UK is such that the shame of being found out after winning Olympic medal would be unbearable imo...no-one would risk it |

Did Wiggins really say that Biscuit?
Gone up even further in my estimation if he did. |

The case I always remember was Sharon Davies our swimmer who came second to an East German who was drugged up and who I now beleive is dead ,shouldnt the question be how many more medals would GB have won if the sport was as clean as it is today? No way are GB leading the world in drug taking and we would have had less medals than we have if drug taking was rife, for sure. Look at the countries who are not doing so well today and you will find the cheats.

Never read such a load of bullshit in all my life....
Why are people who are jealous and lead such tiny lives allowed to post... These people are Champions and there are plenty more coming through the system and will win Golds in the future... |

It's always suspicious when a whole group/team start doing well. A bit like the Jamaican sprinters. What was the magic wheels thing about? I'm willing to accept the cycling enthusiasts explanations on here about facilities etc but lets not be naive here they could be under some analogue drug and not even know about it.

taking the pish out of the french who were raising suspicions. seems they don't have much sense of humour

Hard work and good preparation Hamsterdam...
Perhaps you will take your b ollucks off the forum.... |

I would agree with Hamsterdam.
The sport is soaked in doping as are plenty others. Look at the history of doping. Its not just about winning , its about money.... masses of sponsorship, media deals etc.... You see people above posting about how they are always caught eventually.... Rubbish imho. David Millar didnt test positive (His house was raided), Marion Jones didnt test positive, Armstrong never tested positive (So far and or not in the public domain)....the list goes on. The idea of British atheletes standing on the high moral ground and being ashamed of potential positive is ridiculous......No body cares after the event about someone testing positive. Linford Christie even made a f**king ad taking the pi55 he tested positive in Seoul (No body care in Barcelona, did they!?!) |

When did they start doing well? It's hardly an overnight success is it, or have you had your head in the sand the last 8 years ffs? |

More like 12 really, I remember Jason Queally & Chris Hoy in Sydney. Blimey, we've been waiting 12 years for all the positive drug tests to come through...! |

Surely British Cycling realised that their was relatively 'easy' gold medals to be won,
3/4 of olympic countries dont even have a team. |
|

If they are on drugs in London then its fair to assume that was the case in Beijing. So with the supposed drugs being so successfull @ beijing(worked a treat) you would assume they would apply that in the Tour under the Sky umbrella in the formative years & if thats the case why didnt the dope work then?
|

By:
Give it up doom and gloom merchants,no drugs involved.
Unless of course you have proof. So basically........give it up. |

The salient points here have been made by Marychain
fair play to you sir one of the finest posts I have read which admittedly isnt hard on the bf forum Have to admit tho that the continued lauding of 'Team GB' is utterly vomit making and it is enough to drive many to dope suspicion Whats worse is this sort of NATO alliance going on wherby a jonny arab like that 1500m dude Makloufi is the subject of some very snide remarks while the yanks and yardies - who have been at the doping game for donkeys - don't get the slightest mention FFS wasnt that little t!t yohan blake suspended a couple of years back yet nothing from Cram and Foster Utter berkshire hunts the pair of them |
