they were unsure but thought it was all riders

if tied again they add up the times and fastest wins

it was done and dusted before that last round really. last dutchman would have had gone clear in about 40 seconds if even we'd had the lot down

It's a bit like the horse racing debate, but I'm sure the riders have plenty to do with the winning although obviously you need decent horses in the first place

Exactly. I can see the skill in the jock but think its minor factor compared to the horse.

I don't think a horse would appreciate a medal that much to be honest and a bale of hay is a p1ss poor prize for the Olympics.

So happy for the team, especially Nick Skelton. No one deserves an Olympic Gold more than he.

Any Nick Skelton fans, as ancient as me, will remember watching him in the Aachen World Championships in 1986.

The 4 individual riders all have to jump a round on each other's horses

It was agonizing to watch, as Nick's horse, Apollo, jumped a beautiful clear round for the eventual winner,Gail Greenhough.

Individual Showjumping is 12 noon on Wednesday (I think).
