We've had posts about the Yorkshire Gold medal count, the Northern medal count, the (risible)posh medal count - there's probably the usual racist ones flying around as well.

Save yourself the bother of posting if Yamile Aldama wins a medal in the Women's Triple Jump - we all know what that'll be about.

So what's the deal here? If it's not won by the Corinthian Amateur from just down our street, who is socially and ethnically somehow neutral, with a British lineage they cantrace back to the Anglo-Saxons, then it doesn't count.

yes as usual this event is about the upper class elite being the focus of attention, the middle classes being allowed to watch on from a distance, and the lower classes can go fckk themselves lol

The lower classes are the ones who are paying the inflated prices for grub and drinks...

at least the posh kids are using the funding to get olympic medals.  The lower classes would just spunk it all on Mayfair Cigarettes, WKD, and fast food.
