Well done Andy a right GIRFUY to certain people.

Less Olympic champions than mens Wimbledon winners.

Would help Muzza if it doesn't rain on Sunday and remains an outdoor final. Fed the best indoor player in the world & heavily favoured if it goes under the roof.
Report Kriskin August 3, 2012 8:55 PM BST
johnny - 100% correct.  That was the difference in the Wimbledon Final when the roof was closed.

Agree. I was surprised when they said that the roof not being closed today suited Fed because Delpo's ball toss is so high.

One thing against Murray is the mixed doubles games tomorrow. If he loses the first it probably won't make much difference but if he had to play two matches tomorrow, that can't do him any favours.

Am I the only one that can't see any irony in this at all?
Report judorick August 3, 2012 10:53 PM BST
no you are not

snap. An Olympic gold medal at London. I wish i had the chance. Nadal was overcome when he won the last one.

Indeed Father, it's only appropriate for an Alanis Morisette song.

best of 5 sets. If murray wins it may break his GS curse
Report Makybe_Diva August 4, 2012 12:35 AM BST
That's what I'm thinking, TMF.
Report pan07 August 4, 2012 1:41 AM BST
will win it for queen and country
Report DonNo1 August 4, 2012 9:41 AM BST
No FatherMaguire, it's wouldn't be ironic at all
Report EUGENE KRABS August 4, 2012 9:55 AM BST
Pity Del Potro didn't come through yesterday as Murray 5 and 1 against him in the HTH and would have been pretty short priced fav for GM
Report judorick August 4, 2012 10:24 AM BST
no it's not a pity, Murray needs the opportunity for redemption

playing Fed is perfect and the pressure is several degrees lower, if he loses then it barely matters but if he wins it's a huge bonus

the downside is much less than losing the Wimbledon final so should be able to relax and play better tennis (ie not serving at 46% in the 3rd set)

The widespread misuse of the word 'ironic' is quite ironic
Report judorick August 4, 2012 10:37 AM BST
how ironic that you misuse the word yourself when complaining about others
Report nicky27 August 4, 2012 10:45 AM BST
if Fed does him AGAIN it would be sickening for MurrayCry ...However, I actually think it's Murray's turn this time and i reckon if he plays like he did against Djoko in the semi that he will win gold here

Report judorick August 5, 2012 4:19 PM BST

Report DonNo1 August 5, 2012 4:20 PM BST
