I love the fact that people are trading double sculls down to 1.01 while this (the pairs) is going on.
Report misselephantstone August 1, 2012 11:59 AM BST

Good stuff girls, there some fools around backing on wrong race!
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:01 PM BST
i just backed the double sculls Cry at 1.03
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:02 PM BST
double sculls don't start until friday Sad
Report Darlo Bantam August 1, 2012 12:03 PM BST
Thing is stevo I was backing the wrong race, even once I realised - the not in-play was a giveaway - simply because I knew it was getting shorter. I should have laid more once it hit 1.01 though.
Report Biscuit1979 August 1, 2012 12:03 PM BST
What are our chances in the double sculls anyway? i hope they're good for the sake of those low odds backers
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:03 PM BST
they better win on friday
Report Darlo Bantam August 1, 2012 12:04 PM BST
I don't know how much was traded before but £160k on the pairs and already £90k on the sculls!
Report themover August 1, 2012 12:04 PM BST
were about 1.4 in the Double Sculls before the in-play that wasn't Laugh
Report Leven August 1, 2012 12:04 PM BST
Hahaha hilarious
Report stevo1 August 1, 2012 12:05 PM BST
Hope they do win 1.01 was bit short though!
Report Leven August 1, 2012 12:06 PM BST
it looked too good to be true at 1000m then i saw it wasn't in play. Lucky escape!
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:06 PM BST
what is 'double sculls ' ?? and why's it different from the 'pairs'
Report themover August 1, 2012 12:06 PM BST
Aussies laid at 89/1 Laugh
Report DonNo1 August 1, 2012 12:06 PM BST
Looks like more than one person got the wrong market? How come?
Report Darlo Bantam August 1, 2012 12:07 PM BST
Sculls is two oars each; pairs one.
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:08 PM BST
poo, ok darlo , thanks
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:09 PM BST
i hope they make sure they have an oar each side on friday , or they'll just keep going round and round in  circles !!Grin
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:09 PM BST
new zealand matched at 1000's for friday's race in all
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:10 PM BST
ok , sculls is 2 oars each , i see , is it the same women for GB team ??
Report nicky27 August 1, 2012 12:10 PM BST
wish i'd layed that 1.01 , what a great opportunity
Report spence602 August 1, 2012 12:14 PM BST
I managed to get £30 worth at 1.03 over the moon just depating when to trade out looks like around a £200 profit
Report johnwark August 1, 2012 12:18 PM BST
bargain for buyers now, they were sub 1.2 before the other race
Report bilbobaggins August 1, 2012 12:19 PM BST
Just watched the women's quad sculls. How come the time was 6m 35 seconds when they rowed 6m 14 seconds in the Heats?
Report DonNo1 August 1, 2012 12:19 PM BST
Yep, panic backers trying to get out, should settle back at 1.2ish
Report DonNo1 August 1, 2012 12:20 PM BST
Tailwinds in the heats bilbo I think
Report bilbobaggins August 1, 2012 12:23 PM BST
Thanks Don - wow 20 seconds - that's some wind.
Report rowl August 1, 2012 12:23 PM BST
£39,500 traded at 1.01 for womens sculls.. oh dear i guess they backed in wrong race
Report Darlo Bantam August 1, 2012 12:25 PM BST
Shows you what can be made from daft, mug punters. So far today, I've made money from a non-runner in the cycling and the wrong rowing race.
Report DonNo1 August 1, 2012 12:26 PM BST
How did you notice Darlo or did you suspect it?
Report stevo1 August 1, 2012 12:28 PM BST
If you did any research like time and date of race this may help!
Report DonNo1 August 1, 2012 12:28 PM BST
Tidy potential 3.5k for the 1.01 layer Cry
Report Darlo Bantam August 1, 2012 12:28 PM BST
Luck more than judgment. And I should have laid more at 1.01 or 1.02.
Report rowl August 1, 2012 12:30 PM BST
should have traded every single penny you have m8
Report Darlo Bantam August 1, 2012 12:35 PM BST
I simply didn't know why it was trading that low. I guessed it was fool's money but wasn't sure enough. Because you're right. If I'd gone with my instinct I'd have made a ton.
Report DonNo1 August 3, 2012 12:48 PM BST
THEY KNEW
Report Darlo Bantam August 3, 2012 1:41 PM BST
A huge collective sigh of relief this morning.
