 , and what is a sprinter in cycling terms, 100, 200m a mile out? ps people were saying that the dutch girl who won the gold on sunday was a sprinter but she took up the running miles out . |

The point of having a sprinter is stage wins which confer financial prizes in the major tours and races. Stage wins also satisfy sponsors as their name is seen everywhere.

4/9 a good bet if you knew the fitness of Martin and Cancellara. I got 1.67 for Wiggins to win and topped up at 1.8 when Martin was faster through the first checkpoint but my main bet in this is a 90% fit Martin w/o Wiggo at 2.7.
