This should be good. OK, the course is not really worthy of an olympic event with only two laps of Box Hill but it's a small high quality field
Hard to disagree with Vos being favourite - she's an absolute superstar - almost unbeatable for most of the year, every year. She won the Worlds at her first attempt but since then she's had five (!) consecutive silver medals and she was out of the medals in Beijing. Just goes to show how difficult it can be in cycling to win the big one dayers when everyone knows you're the best
Bronzini beat Vos in the last two Worlds by waiting for the sprint. I don't see either changing tactics. Vos will try to smash the field to bits. Italy will play the Bronzini card (which makes Guderzo and Cantele particularly dangerous)
The course favours a sprint but the small teams make it more difficult as we saw yesterday.
I think the value is 50-1 + about Guderzo, Cantele and Worrack

it makes me laugh this game now 3 not 4 , it had to be my girl. 
They have an old bloke with a Casio stopwatch to tell us the times
not sure stealth, i reckon betfair had a man with a catapult in the bushes.

I don't ever watch Cycling. Can someone put these three riders into football teams for me? Is it Vos - Barcelona, GB - Man United, Russia - Stoke?
i don't quite get the odds here. the three are gone obv. should vos be a huge huge fav against armitstead? vos was 2.5 against the whole pack before the race, but only 1.8 against only two of that pack (and not the biggest favs either?)
When lizzie takes it up,Vos has to get out the saddle,dunno what that means.
The comm is best comedy in ages, just said, that the leading 3 has a chance of a medal

If you don't go past you're always playing catch up . After yesterday not sure about the tactics of the Brits.
Lizzie had nowt left, legs of jelly in the sprint but did well overall.
Just watched the replay agaon of the last few metres. WHy didn't Armi kick on first? Stupid girl

Great race, congrats girl. Fantastic crowd, will inspire plenty to get out in the rain.
Larrence - cycling been let down with the comms for both races, surely the tech guys can sort this out, probably not the comms fault, don't get why riders and speeds can't be displayed all the time during races?

Lizzie did everything right. I thought her tactics were spot on at the end against a girl who is generally faster in the gallop. Just didn't have the legs to come round but a great ride.

us armchair sprinters would have got our sofas with wheels and stabilizers on and sped away alot earlier.
knowing mu luck the sofa cushion would have got stuck in my wheel.

So are you saying that there was absolutely NO WAY she could have won that race?
She could have offered the Russian money to push Marianne into the barriers
Riders aren't machines, racing for most of the last 100k in poor conditions will drain the best, why not give it a try some time?

I would say that with hindsight there was no way lizzie would have beaten Vos today. She did everything right. Dodged a few turns in the last few Ks and then let Vos lead out and tried to come off her wheel. Vos did it the hard way by leading out and was still strong enough to win easily.
If Lizzie had led out Vos would certainly been able to come round her before the line.
It's a bit like telling all the blokes beaten by Cav that they would have won if they'd done something differently.

Not knocking her, great effort in those conditions.. Just would of liked her take the sprint to Vos.. But as Vos took a tow and whizzed past her, everyone would have said why didn't she wait!! GoBallistic is spot on..
