i'm a bit of a liberal guardian reading lefty myself, but good lord, even to me it came off that they rammed 'diversity' down your throat a bit too much the Empire Windrush making an appearance  i think the powers that be are trying to tell us something |

I thought it was a good representation of Britain.
I loved it, that after all the endless talk about who should light the flame, the job was given to a group of young athletes. It was handled beautifully. How cool was Becks in the speed boat? I was very worried watching Steve Redgrave running up the steps. Goodness, what if he'd tripped?  I thought, for the most part, it was excellent 9/10. (Could've done without Macca, at the end  ) |

the inclusivity and diversity was heavily handled and clumsily too
even down to the white wife-black husband-mixed race child set up the producers may think that represents GB but really those kinds of families are a tiny percentage of the total I'm all for representation but this was all rammed down the throat imo |

Yeah, it was just an illusion created by people still standing and obscuring the 'pixcels'. The place was rammed until the end. I thought it was great. Daft, irreverant, colourful, artistic and done with a smile on it's face! The torch was a great, great idea. And to further upset all the miserable feckers out there, 27 million in the UK watched it! |
