Just wondering any atlethics followers want to predict the winning time.
Lad.brokes have 9.80 - 9.99 at 4/1.
corals have 9.70 - 9.79 at 9/4
would dutching the 2 not have a very good chance.
The fact its in London with the possibility of dodgy weather I was thinking they might'nt run as fast as usual.
any opinions?

Can't believe odds on new WR are only 2/1. Should be 10/1 at least. I'm not complaining though.

Even if they do cut it fine, a "blistering start" shaves at the very most 0.03 off your time. That's about a foot.

start means the drive phase which lasts up to 30m, not just the reaction to the gun
jump out the blocks and get up to full speed quickly, if they are pushing each in a close run race it could very fast indeed

Tyson Gay's 9.69 is a crazy run he was left standing in the blocks but then brings it back..

it's a fast track and there will be 6 very fast men indeed, if 2 or 3 of them get it right on the night they could go very low

When Bolt eased up it cost him roughly 1 metre on the others. That equates to 0.1 seconds. So if he had given it everything to the line he'd have done 9.77.
9.58 is a staggering time. It's another 2 metres ahead and if it's beaten tonight, it's the chemist who should get the medal.

9.73 for me and it will be Blake that will win it IMO. If he starts faster Bolt will struggle, Blake eased up just as much as Bolt and ran into a bigger head wind I believe.

Bolt is literally the only one who can even dream of doing it and he peaked in 2009 imo. Would you back even money WR to go within 12 months?
