Hopefully when this gets going on Eurosport we'll get proper coverage
By:
Hows the race looking?
By:
leaders about 6 mins, just about to be a break from the peliton
By:
current gap no prob for GB imo
By:
Cav prices drifts everytime there's a break, even though Team GB are riding at his pace

By:
6 mins is nothing with 50k to go after all the climbing. There's too many in the breakaway at the moment. They'll start attacking each other in the latter stages and then the peleton will swallow them up.
By:
This will be a cakewalk for Cav. Froome will take it up at 30K then Wiggo at 15K and nobody will pass them till Cav at the finish.
By:
gap down to 5 mins
By:
what time will the race finish
By:
did sagan start ?
By:
Cav will want his tea about 4:30.
By:
Bl00dy good race whatever happens, certainly better than any of the stages in France earlier this month.
Very intriguing stuff. |
By:
have you seen him in the peloton then
By:
Camera picked him up at the start
By:
no team mates
By:
maybe he started then & dropped out !
By:
If Mark Cavendish wins great for GB & he's LUFC but if he loses a nice big Green!
By:
yes i know, but people might not know & hes drifting out.
By:
Well,i have backed a few of the leaders at big odds, and Boonen,Goss and Greipel are backed in case they are caught.
Not backed Cav,too short for me. Would be great if they do stay ahead, they certainly deserve it imo. |
By:
leaders +4.05
By:
GB doing too much work a group of strong riders will escape in the last hour and not get caught.
By:
reckon gilbert may be that rider
By:
Looks nailed on to be a bunched sprint finish, looks nailed on for Cav (best sprinter I've seen in a finish) to win. I'm not backing him as 1.8 isn't great but I don't see the value in laying him either. Looks like his race.
By:
Lot of strong riders ahead of GB,guess it really depends how much the chase takes out of them for Cav to win.
Certainly not nailed on,but i would not lay Cav either! |
By:
still no sagan, must have dropped out
By:
Do you really think his team are going to be in any state to give him his leadout after chasing everything for 5 hours plus
By:
Sagan in 56th place
By:
just got to keep Cav at the front of the main group
By:
If the chase is timed to perfection then Cav can still get his lead out. If they catch them too early then a couple of guys will jump as soon as they swallow the current breakaway and the second breakaway will contain the winner
By:
pegged back, woohoo
![]() |
By:
2 mins
By:
Froome and Wigo look like they are out on a training ride. No chance of a breakaway today.
By:
It's too soon
IMO of course |
By:
lots of strong riders in the chasing group, can't let them get away and they're closing on the leaders
By:
split in lead group?
By:
Wiggins piling it on. No way these breakaways are going anywhere.
By:
I am guessing its very rare to break away, get caught by the pelaton and then come back and win.
By:
correct paddle, they've burn't up more energy
