It may be ones who don't get their lungs attacked, but their
kidneys or blood vessels. I don't know, that's just a stab at an answer, the virus attacks in many Ways, now they know the drug works in some cases they can start working on the hows and whys, and hopefully build on the success. |

I do think it would help if they only included people who actually died from covid in the stats though. I just wondered if this gave a clue to the percentage who were just positive test results and had actually died of their underlying condition. It seems strange that you can die of what is primarily a lung disease without ever needing oxygen.

You know full well this drug is now going to be hoarded by the state and not be allowed to be given as a prescription for anything other than this virus, which is utter BS
You wont get your hands on any of this wonder drug from space |

Who are these people? Are they the ones who dont actually die from covid but of other things after testing positive for it?
My understanding was that they weren't necessarily people who died but those who became ill. |

Really amazing news today. Looks like 1 in 8 deaths (12.5%) can be avoided going forward. This is the start of the fight back to get back to normal. As someone living with someone shielding this is the best news for months!!! It is good news but bear in mind it won't prevent you from catching the virus or becoming ill. Stay safe. |

It is of course possible dotch.
Dunno what the criteria were for taking part and how far gone some of em may have been. If it's 1 in 8 saved and 2000 took part it's an extra 250 alive because of trial (unless I misunderstood what scientist said) so it's a great start point. |
