It would be the early nineties, I think. I was in Bar Italia in Soho and this couple turn up on a scooter. The girl gets off the back and walks in, removing her helmet and letting her long blond hair fall on her shoulders. She walks past me, turning to smile, and goes to the counter to order. I asked my mate if he knew her and he said it was "that model Kate Moss". Thing is, you wouldn't recognise her without make up and styling. But she was beautiful nonetheless. Have seen her socially since and can confirm she is still beautiful.
