Yet again there's no choice in the matter either, they are opening everywhere back up and its get back to work slaves, oh and wear a facking face covering
Not sure how long I'll be told to do as my told before reacting
Another Government shambles in the making? every where I go business is spending time and money on 2m signage in preparation for opening on Monday, only for the Government to abandon it a few days later.

Boris backed down as Whitty and Valance threatened to resign if 2m lessened,so 2m it is for the time being it seems. Desperate attempt by the media to convince people the shops are safe by showing what looks the the only available queues outside obviously Primark.

The media have gone from terrorising people with docu soaps from "inside a warzone", to telling everyone its perfectly fine and you should go out shopping
I knew they'd pull this stunt, these people outdo themselves weekly nowadays
From coffins being shown and telling us that's you and I, to "go and shop and save the economy" within 2 months

I believe a 2m social distancing measure is only for a short while, and will be reduced within weeks; Germany exercised a social distancing policy of at least 1.5m during lockdown too.
I think those businesses that have been allowed to trade at present just need to do their best for the time being. Others eg hairdressers/pubs, etc, have yet to be allowed to resume trading.

I didn't realise the "Race to the Bottom" for levels of journalism would be over so quickly, but it appears that we have reached the nadir.
Two metres was probably a Government adviser's "best guess" at an acceptable level of risk that the GBP would accept. Now it is proving difficult to remove it, and in the meantime the printing and marketing people have been running presses at double speed to generate all of these ridiculous stickers that we are now having to endure.
Will they ever admit that all of these measures were pointless? I doubt it in my lifetime, but who knows after that...

Yes,when you stand back and look at it,you have to almost laugh despite its tragic outcomes,i believe there is a media push/"nudge" to keep the high street alive. It seems to me and hope i'm wrong but a certain "look we have to chance it as the well is nearly dry" is coming into play, other countries taking simlar steps have a lot less cases, a kinda martinggale system now.

I'd take the advice and social distancing measure from government and health experts with a pinch of salt. Instead try and follow what's been happening in other European countries and the Far East. Nothing beats proven measures in tackling Covid-19.

"My daughter. 19 years old. Healthy. Cashier at a huge chain of grocery stores. She started to feel sick about two weeks ago. Side and back pain. Nausea .. Chest pain. The doctor sent her for Chest X-ray .. Something "lit up" on the right side. Sent for MRI. Tomography. Ultrasound of the back and abdomen. NOTHING. quarantine Tested for covid Of course no one can be with her It turns out to be pleurisy .. An inflammation of the outside of the lungs due to wearing a mask over 8 hours a day, 5-6 days a week "Breathing her own bacteria, carbon dioxide has caused an infection. And now she's in severe pain. She has to stay home. You won't see that on social media. She's 19 years old. She's healthy and tied to the bed and struggling to breathe." Antibiotics. Steroids. Respiratory treatments. "
The masks must stop now !!(Monica Benet)"My daughter. 19 years old. Healthy. Cashier at a huge chain of grocery stores. She started to feel sick about two weeks ago. Side and back pain. Nausea .. Chest pain. The doctor sent her for Chest X-ray .. Som
Don't think anyone said there wasn't a downside, certainly not a "brigade",prolonged mask wearing as in the poor girl above is a different thing. Most i think advocated using one in a public place like a tube, train, supermarket for maybe an hour, that makes sense. Prolonged use ought not to be allowed by employers maybe?

Live in a village and 3 people waiting for a bus with face masks on, thought I'd wait for the bus across the road to see how many had them on and the whole bus did
Even the driver was wearing one ffs

Another little gem is companies having to pay back furlough for self employed by years end
So it wasn't a freebie after all, and what about extra Universal Credit payments as well? are they going to have to be paid back as well?
What really gets me is how quickly they reopening everywhere back up and how much debt they are piling onto people, their better be a facking 2nd wave because lets be honest this is looking like a big set up at the moment

a bit rich asking you to wear a mask on transport when youcould be sitting by yourself. then they show you pictures of folk waiting to get into the likes of primark rammed together in a big scrum with about 50% maskless.
