Then the Met decided it would be a great idea to block all routes out. They mobbed up in large numbers. Riot gear, Batons  drawn at one point then shields handed out. It smacked of a set up. A plan to wind us all up. Fence us in, trap us then provoke anger. I spoke with 3 or 4 coppers explaining this will only increase tension. They were all deadpan, reading from a script.

Of course people wanted to leave. We’d made our point. The police refused and tensions grew. It was brain dead policing but most probably intentional to create a riot. I felt sorry for them. Most were tiny, men and women. What has happened to physical attributes needed for the job? Just kids, sent by D*ck to do a man’s job. No wonder they took a pasting last week.
