I'll tell you what they did. They holed up all the true Brits in North Wales and allowed all the foreigners to come here. That's when it all started to go wrong. Bloody immigrants, coming over here!

think people think they wouldn't mind living in a country where race is the top topic 24/7,untill within a week at work ,at home, friends, pub etc they get into difficult conversations with black/brown people and say ridiculous things like I don't mean you, blah, blah,
I spent a short time in south Africa as a kid and still remember every white persons housing having a hut/shed at bottyom of garden where the blacks lived and even the kids me 6 were encouraged to take any left overs on a plate down to the huts for them to eat,55 years ago and can remember it like it was yesterday

Eric Morecambe once blacked up for a sketch, and Les Dawson joked about keeping his mother-in-law chained up. Their statues must surely be on the list.

Has IT managed to trademark bronzelivesmatter yet?

Weird how so much of this forum is much more energised about statues of long dead people than for actual people being killed by the state here and now.

If Rhodes goes Churchill must go. They held similar views.

I"m guessing the Rhodes scholarship which has benefited 8000 students from a poor background to study at Oxford will be removed as well, this was set up after Cecil Rhodes died in 1902 and is administered by the Rhodes Trust, what a racist bastaard for wanting to help people to get a better education.

No they will still want the money

The irony.
Just wait until they get their act together and realise there are still members in the HOC from lines of slave owners/sugar lobbists and those who lent money to the government to refund slave owners following emancipation....a burden that the taxpayer only cleared within the last few years.

indeed if Councillors/Mayors etc stand on cleansing history from our cities and get voted in by the public then let them do their cleansing.

All this tosh about the virtue of philanthropy.
They had so much of it off the back's of other's suffering they hardly knew what to do with it.
If they could they'd have taken it with them.
Just because they bequeathed it doesn't absolve them.

Most blacks living here came from the Caribbean. Not hard to work out their ancestry.

Sadly they’re too fick to realise they have unwittingly benefitted from the slave trade by being able to live in GB. That doesn’t excuse the slave trade but like many tragedies, good can result in time.
