Not seen that (will look later) but many say it's just the left's old strategy, adapted to different groupings. Orwell made a very good quote about patriotism and the British (English) that with about two word substitutions (e.g. White for English, Socialist for Russian), seems pretty bang on many decades later. The left haven't really changed.
