IMDb, the mmovie database says about 450 thousand movies were made. Sony classics has shown.. The warrior and the slave girl and the giants of thessaly about fifty times this year. I still will not watch them. Film four is showing . Fantastic voyage. More repeats. Mission to mars. Seven yrs in Tibet, phenomenon. These films are shown several times a yr. Casablanca. John Wayne seasons. I estimatevthey rotate through about a thousand core films. Modern releases are emphazised in specialist viewing platforms. A hhuge hole of 300 thousand films are being sidelined? I went thru MGM,s output from 1929 to 1979. Eighty percent is not being screened.

I watch movies streamed on the internet. The quality is so good these days that all I need is a decent laptop and good speakers. There are 2 or 3 really good websites where you can find many of the thousands of movies you're talking about plus most of the good tv series aired in recent years.

True. I've watched thirty thousand films since eighties . Wasted my llife. It's the finding out about them. That's time consuming. The tv people should be limiting repeats to once a year. In the seventies they did that. I remember video taping twelve angry men.it was an event. They did not show it again for a year or two. Now it's repeated fortnightly. Mainstream tv needs to change. rare content needs to be shown. people record it and it's less likely to br destroyed. Lots of silent ccinema and nitrate goes up in flames.

I've been using random sites for some years and malwarebytes and comodo antivirus tend to flag up the dodgy ones. I use Ublock to keep out the ads.

https://www5.123moviesfree.sc/123moviesfree/ 123movies is probably the best out there for latest HD quality movies. They tell you if the movie is not HD and you don't normally have to wait too long for the HD copy to arrive.
http://moviesonline.mx/ Another good site with a large database. You'll find plenty of older movies as well as the newer stuff. The site I found for Cardinal Scott yesterday looks ok, but I've been using the 2 I mentioned here in Thailand for the last 8 years with no problem. |
