You can only imagine that the cop who killed him felt strangely protected by the law. That level of brazenness can only come from precedent.
Precedent where cops were protected under even a glimpse of ambiguity. Relentless investigation and prosecution of line crossing, allied to a clear definition of what is an acceptable form of restraint, and under what conditions, is what it will take. As well as an increase in diversity of the cop population. |

The police in USA can train for a few weeks before they patrol. Overy here they train them well. It's a cowboy society. Everyone with a weapon. They burn out. Treat people with distain. It happens in many jobs. The worst job must be cleaning up traffic ffatalities. I worked with a guy who got decapitated. All this builds up and explodes in violence. Saying that. Many people like the authority and power. Bastards exist. The Asian cop was s few feet away. Barely stirs at the violence used. You see him shift a few inches as he thinks about intervening. But he realizes his fellow officer will probably vent on him too.
