I must admit that yesterday I felt sure that Cummings would have to go, but now I'm thinking that his explanation of the events, whilst obviously bs, is hard to dispute and imo it would be difficult to sack him , unless something else that he's not telling us comes to light.
The whole country knows that BJ is a serial liar and it wouldn't surprise me if he encouraged Cummings to lie his way out of trouble.

Was Cummings referring to the last 3 months of 'pandemic' reporting in the mainstream media or his excuses contained within yesterdays press conference ?

I don't know how anyone with any sense could be expected to believe the drivel that has come from Cummings and his "supporters" over this fiasco,and Cummings writes the rules does he,I thought the rules were made by senior politicians on the advice of scientists,medics and others who know what they are talking about.

Calderwood made a statement apologising for her actions but didn't resign at that time. Sturgeon backed her saying she was too important to lose.
Calserwood resigned from her post as CMO the following day when it was revealed she had made a second journey to her holiday home.

As regards Cummings I think moving to his parents farm where his sister and her 2 grown up children also live for possible child care was acceptable in the circumstances.
I think though that the drive to the grounds of  Durham Castle was in breach of lockdown rules. As Case said shuda gone but hasn't so move on.

I don't think that seeking child care help for a 4 year old is a pathetic excuse unless you go along with the Labour MP who suggested the kid could have been put into the hands of Social Services.

As regards a 'car full of covid19' I think you should read up on the disease.
